EOS, a leading provider of manufacturing solutions via 3D printing technology, announced the launch of its new production network designed to provide companies of all sizes with assistance when sourcing materials for additive manufacturing by selected and certified EOS partners.

Companies joining the network have a deep understanding of serial production requirements and proven excellence in all aspects of production, helping those looking for a partner to understand serial additive manufacturing on an industrial scale and in a wide range of industries with the ability to scale further.

Customers who choose to work with members of EOS’ end-to-end manufacturing network will have the confidence of knowing that each manufacturing partner has been assessed against criteria that verify their financial security and competence, as well as have industry leading knowledge, especially in highly certified areas such as automotive, aviation and medical devices.

Total Industries, Scandinavia’s largest and most specialized additive manufacturing company, is the first subcontractor to join the network, with more expected to follow.

Jan Lofving, CEO of Prototal Industries, said, “It is with great pride that we become the first member of the EOS end-to-end production network. On our various sites across Europe, Prototal Industries has developed over many years the skills and knowledge necessary for the additive manufacturing of large series.

“The future looks bright for the technology in terms of even further developments in automation and more sustainable production. 3D printing is truly a production method with great benefits and EOS is one of our most valued partners.”

With this new network, EOS extends its already existing manufacturing network, but with the provision of the necessary “end-to-end” production component and to become a partner of this network, companies go through a certification process where the capabilities end to end are the key criteria.

Finding the right partner for AM solutions:

From start-ups to SMBs and OEM organizations, creating products and bringing them to life at scale can be very demanding, especially if you work in a certified industry or need high-volume production that does not affect not product quality or distribution. .

And, once the right AM solution has been chosen, one of the biggest hurdles can be finding the right manufacturing method and deciding how to organize production. EOS helps companies achieve this by identifying the best application and technology framework, advising companies on internal and external production differences.

If a third-party organization is considered the best option, other things will need to be considered. EOS End-To-End Network Partners help companies mitigate identified risks and move quickly to rapid end-production of large-scale mass parts.

Members will also be able to contribute expertise from a range of manufacturing technologies to help increase production speed, ensure quality standards are maintained and support every part of production from start to finish.

Mark Glasser, Senior Vice President EMEA at EOS, said: “With over 30 years of experience in delivering end-to-end additive manufacturing solutions, EOS understands the market demands for mass production and with this new network, we want to create added value for both parties involved – those offering manufacturing services and those seeking them.

“This will remove much of the complexity and risk of choosing a manufacturing partner for mass production companies, with the most innovative designs and get products to market faster, using the latest technology. state-of-the-art 3D printing technology and leveraging the vertical industry expertise and know-how within the network.

The network is initially set up in the EMEA region and will expand over the coming months.
