With the cessation of offline education due to the pandemic, Edtech has gained prominence among the masses. Online courses can be effective and flexible, but the lack of engagement limits a student’s learning experience. But while the country is still reeling from the pandemic, some Edtech startups have stepped up to help students get a quality education.

Bloombrain Founders – Shahrukh Usmani (CEO) and Utkarsh Goswami (COO)

Bloombrain, for example, reduced their course fees by 50% for students from financially weaker backgrounds or whose parents have recently lost their jobs. The company has developed an internal scholarship approval and profiling system that identifies deserving applicants, where the scholarship is approved within 24 hours of application submission.

Bloombrain has also signed a strategic partnership with the Health Gennie app, to offer their employees and learners free access for one year to medical consultations for any illness through leading Indian doctors.

Named as one of India’s Top 15 Emerging Edtech Companies by CNBC, the company offers customized courses for CBSE students from Standard 1 to 9. Bloombrain Also offers courses focused on 21st century skills like public speaking, robotics, 3D printing, and app-based English learning programs for adults.

The company offers personalized lessons as well as regular 1: 1 workouts where students can dispel their doubts and work specifically on their weaknesses. With over 70,000 registered users, Bloombrain students have an average grade of 9 CGPA.

According to Shahrukh Usmani, Founder and CEO of Bloombrain Learning Solutions, “At first, we observed that most students do not have the required training or the opportunity to develop their communication skills in schools or colleges. Bloombrain eliminates these communication barriers and allows students to score well, while positioning them for successful careers.“

Commenting on the inspiration behind Bloombrain, Shahrukh added, “While working for the best Edtech companies for the past 5 years, I realized that there is a huge gap between academia and industry in our country. Therefore, me and my batch mate – Utkarsh (founder and COO) started Bloombrain with a team of 8 Edtech experts. We launched last year in July and today we employ over 175 professionals with over 3,500 paid learners. We have also developed an in-house patented video calling platform with custom teacher-side controls that provides a cutting-edge user experience. We are currently in talks with major VCs to raise funds to expand our operations. “

Bloombrain is an Edtech startup that offers personalized individual interactive courses. The company’s courses cover academics, spoken English, coding, and effective communication skills related to sales and marketing training for students and adults.
