Maip Group acquires Ciceri de Mondel (FILOALFA) »3dpbm
Maip Group officially formalized the acquisition of Ciceri from Mondel Srl, an Italian company known in the world of additive manufacturing for its activities in the segment of 3D printing filaments with the FILOALFA Mark. Based in Ozzero, near Milan, Ciceri de Mondel has been operating for many years in the production of high quality styrene sheets.
The integration of Ciceri de Mondel within the Group constitutes for Maip – which has a solid industrial tradition and advanced skills in the search for innovative and eco-sustainable materials – a factor of competitive advantage, in particular because of the potential expanding AM market. and with a strong possibility of technological evolution. According to Eng. Martini, Chairman of the Maip Group, “the operation will make it possible to apply to products such as plates and filaments for 3D printers – markets not traditionally covered by Maip – the capacity to develop new formulations which will allow a significant enhancement of technicality. . and the aesthetic characteristics of the products offered.
The Ciceri de Mondel integration plan envisages a first notable synergy in the field of research and experimentation with materials with innovative characteristics that respect the environment, a sector in which the Maip Group has invested. and invests considerable resources. In particular, the company will soon launch a new line of filaments based on the revolutionary polymer BIO-TECNO, known worldwide under the brand IamNature, which offers unique performance.
“This is a fundamental step for our company” – declared Luciana Ciceri, sole director of Ciceri de Mondel – “which brings us to be part of a group with which we share many objectives and from which we can draw will make it possible to offer high-content products, in line with the expectations of an increasingly demanding and sustainable market, an issue in which Maip has been successfully active for years. The objective is to strongly develop specific sectors in the years to come, in which we intend to make significant investments ”.
Luciana Ciceri will remain in the company as CEO with extended powers, assisted by ing. Antonio Berera, for the R&D division, which will be in charge of the development of innovative materials and technologies and in particular of the management of industrial activities dedicated to FILOALFA production. According to Eng. Berera “the operation which has just ended will allow this leap in quality, in terms of technical capacities and investments, which will lead to a development which would otherwise have been difficult to achieve”.
