SpaceX 3D prints Texas Starbase building extension »

Construction 3D printing blogger Jarret Gross, who collaborated with 3dpbm in the past, just released a new video where it exclusively reveals the first concrete building 3D printed by SpaceX, using Apis Cor Technology. It’s a pretty basic addition to a EspaceX a community building called The Hub, but it’s located in SpaceX’s Starbase facility, which makes it pretty exciting.
Apis Cor recently revealed that he is currently working on the first and only 3D printed house (project) to participate and win a prize in a Space Coast Parade of Homes. Apis Cor designed Impreza as the first 3D printed house to be built on the Space Coast. Honor the foundation of the aerospace, technology and defense industries based in this field. This project may have caught SpaceX’s attention from Space Coast’s headquarters in Hawthorne, California.
We know SpaceX has invested in Bike3D, and its metal 3D printers for rocket production, and that NASA and ESA have extensively tested construction 3D printing technologies for interplanetary construction. Until today, however, SpaceX had shown no interest in testing construction 3D printing for its Mars colonization projects. This relatively small development doesn’t mean Musk plans to 3D print habitable structures on Mars, but it does mean that he and his teams are aware of the basic capabilities of the technology.
As some would say: a small step for SpaceX, and a giant leap for construction 3D printing.
