This Greek start-up will launch a 3000 horsepower Ultracar Street Legal
The wave of supercars and hypercars have seen a huge increase in recent years, thanks to the evolution of technology and the dawn of electrification. But even in the most extreme cases, naming a car “Chaos” is a clear indication of scaring people off with what’s on the table. A modest Greek start-up Spyros Panopaulos Automotive will soon launch a 3000 hp sports car dubbed Chaos.
This denomination is perfect for the disruption it will bring to the world of high-end performance machines with space-grade materials and artistically complex manufacturing techniques. The chaos promises to be so savage that the company claims to be launching a whole new segment of cars called the “ultracar†which relies on a hypercar. Ferraris and Lamborghinis look silly and bland for what Chaos promises to deliver.
The use of carbon fiber, kevlar, magnesium, ceramic, titanium and zylon for various mechanical and structural components makes this a cutting edge science experiment on wheels. Until now, Koenigsegg and Rimac have been the epitome of breathtaking performance and extraordinary technology. But now we have a new ‘chaotic’ Greek on the list!
3000 hp and a proposed 2: 1 power-to-weight ratio are already enough for the chaos. But that only scratches the surface of this Greek “ultracarâ€.
The main man behind the chaos is known for his addiction to power
3000 HP is a scary number, but not for Spyros Panopoulos, the man behind this insane chaos. He has long satisfied his thirst for performance. Twenty years ago he built a 1,400 horsepower Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9. This car went on to become a 4WD monster with a whopping 2,880 horsepower and clocked a quarter-mile record 7.7 seconds in Abu Dhabi in 2019. 1,000 horsepower would be me for it!
The second highest engine speed; 0-60 MPH in 1.8 seconds
The heart of this Chaos is a mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V10 engine that will be offered in 2 configurations – a 2,000 HP iteration with an 11,000 RPM redline and a 3,000 HP iteration. with a red line of 12,000 rpm. This makes it the second highest revving engine, just under 100rpm from the upcoming Gordon Murray T.50. It also beats the Aston Martin Valkyrie in the RPM race by a huge margin.

It will feature a machined aluminum engine block and internal components like pistons, rods, camshafts and valves 3D printed in titanium, carbon and Inconel. Oh! And the twin turbos will be made of a compound fused together using carbon fiber, titanium, and ceramic. Power will be sent to all 4 wheels via an 8-speed DCT, and this Greek “ultracar†makes bold claims like 0-60 MPH in 1.8 seconds and a top speed of 310 MPH.
With a power-to-weight ratio of 2: 1, Chaos aims to break records
The insane use of advanced technology and the most expensive components to make this 3000 HP machine comes down to one main reason – the weight savings. And SP Automotive is taken to an unreal level as they are aiming for a 2: 1 power-to-weight ratio. We’ve come across cars with insane power-to-weight ratios, but this one is off the charts. The Chaos should weigh just 2,535 pounds!
He will try to overthrow the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series for the fastest production car lap record at the Nürburgring. He will also attempt to overthrow the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ which made 304 MPH. Red Bull will be the sponsor of this daring race. If that’s not all, he also plans to outdo the all-electric Rimac Nevera which holds the quarter-mile record with 8.58 seconds.
The world’s strongest unibody chassis in space age technology
This ultracar has a Zylon monocoque chassis – a material 1.6 times stronger than Kevlar and used in cockpit penetration protection for F1, and even in pieces of NASA Martian vehicles. And it’s 10 times more expensive than carbon fiber. Almost all mechanical and moving parts are 3D printed with ultra-premium and hardcore materials including ceramics and Inconel.
SP Automotive Chaos will pack the “Gold Standard” of futuristic interiors
The interior of course seems to pack luxury, sportiness and technology of the highest caliber. The seats are infused into the Zylon unibody chassis which has a golden hue (we dig it). The dashboard has a minimal and sleek layout with yoke steering and perhaps the thinnest infotainment screen in a modern car. Instrument clusters will be replaced by augmented reality.
The exterior of SP Automotive Chaos has been teased to pieces and features unique 3D printed taillights, sharp headlights, and a low-slung form factor. Even the tailpipes are 3D printed and look like nothing short of a work of art.
The highlight here is the 3D printed “anadiaplasi” titanium wheels – 21 inches up front and 22 inches in the rear, which are said to be the lightest metal wheels on a production car right now. And the brake caliper blocks presented by them deserve to be in an art museum!
Spyros Panopaulos Automotive to Unveil $ 6.4 Million Chaos in November
This stunning Greek “ultracar†will be limited to just 100 units and is street legal. The base 2000 HP model will cost the equivalent of $ 6.4 million, and it goes up to $ 14.4 million for the 3000 HP one. Only 20 cars will be handcrafted each year and the first car is already booked and is expected to be delivered in early 2022.
The prices seem outrageous for a beginner since the Bugatti Divo costs $ 5.4 million and the new Rimac Nevera costs just $ 2.9 million. But for the love, passion and the insane elements used to make this Greek monster a performance machine, it is well worth it.
