Baku International Book Fair to be held annually

The Baku International Book Fair is expected to take place every year.
The decision was announced during the press conference held as part of the book fair.
Previously, it was held once every two years. Since 2021, the book fair has been held every year. This year, the event will last for five days.
Speaking at the press conference, the head of the Ministry of Culture’s book circulation department, Akif Marifli, said the book fair is the largest in the region.
The 7th Baku International Book Fair will mark the 880th birthday of the eminent poet and philosopher Nizami Ganjavi.
The main objective of the event is to promote reading habits, to familiarize readers with national and foreign publications, as well as to create opportunities for cooperation between national and foreign publishing houses.
The large-scale event will take place at Expo Center from October 6-10.
Baku International Book Fair 2021 provides a great opportunity to showcase and sell printed products, negotiate and contract with local and foreign publishing houses.
A number of international companies from 12 countries, including representatives of publishing houses, printing houses, bookstores and cultural centers, are expected to participate in the book fair. The five-day book fair will feature various events for book lovers.
Baku International Book Fair 2021 is supported by Caspian Event Organisers.
In 2019, the Baku International Book Fair brought together 81 local and 40 foreign publishers, bookstores and other organizations from 22 countries.
At the same time, numerous book presentations and signing sessions were organized as part of the book fair.
